Engineers can focus their attention on assessing problem areas uncovered by the field observations. Work scopes for necessary repair work can be more accurately defined by reviewing work needed by area, adding to overall efficiency. Proprietary software allows a "paperless" report to combine pictures of any defects with the inspectors' observation notation. Once logged, a legal, tamper-proof, formatted document is generated. This report can be printed, e-mailed or exported as an Excel document where defects can be viewed by type, severity, and location.

State of the Art Digital Inspections
We utilize a wide array or testing equipment. All instruments of inspection are allied with a handheld PDA digital recording unit. These units are able to manipulate high quality digital photographs and data streams with side by side notation which allows the exact pinpoitning of possible defects or hazards.
Equipment Inspection
Utilizing an industry-unique bar code-based asset-tracking system, we have shortened equipment inspection time lines while increasing accuracy. East River Rigging is one of the only companies capable of complying fully with many current OSHA and NYC-DOB requirements. We utilize a computer inventory program to maintain all records, tracking each piece of gear as it is deployed and returns from site. The program is complete with a schedule for inspection, with automatic alarms triggered for each inspection deadline. Our strict protocol for all gear with possible damage or fault, includes instant quarentine in the field and in-house inspection and testing. As a part of our safety measures, we train each technician in the manufacturer's registered inspection process.
