Industrial Rope Access (aka. Industrial Climbing), was originally developed by cavers, climbers, and rescue operations.  It is a two rope system of suspended access and work positioning.  In the thirty years since its inception, Industrial Rope Access has developed into a well known and trusted worldwide industry.  The system allows technicians to reach previously inaccessible areas of many jobsites.  It is a low impact technology that is quick to install and unobtrusive in delivery.  As an alternative to man-lifts and scaffolds, Industrial Rope Access offers unparalleled versatility, cost efficiency, and safety to every industry with working-at-height or challenging access.                                                                                                      There is no variance for increases in height.                                                                                                                                                                                  Simplicity of design, coupled with reduced manpower result in cost saving, increase in efficiency, and less obstruction for building occupants, pedestrian and traffic flow.                                                                                           Industrial Rope Access holds the highest record of safety for all work-at-height industries by upholding the high standards of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) and the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) through rigorous training and intensive field supervision.

With tremendous potential for Industrial Rope Access on the vertical surfaces of New York City, East River Rigging was designed from the ground up, working closely with the NYC Department of Buildings, to create a company that works within this unique urban environment.  The detailed measures and designs put behind our project proposals quickly pass NYC-DOB's rigorous legal and permit requirements to avoid any stoppages, fines or delays.                                                                                                                         We are currently the only Industrial Rope Access company regularly permitted to do construction work-at-height in New York City.

Our staff is comprised of certified and experienced Industrial Rope Access technicians with backgrounds in a variety of rigging applications.  What this means, is an intimate knowledge of rope systems and an understanding of challenging work environments.  Our technicians hold many other key certifications from arena rigging to industrial welding.
